We received a group of MBA students from University of Central Oklahoma for a Faculty-led program on which students get to know Brazil in a different way, visiting places that regular tourists wouldn’t get to visit. The goal of this program is to watch lectures and learn more about Brazil simultaneously as they experience our culture.

We first welcomed the group in Curitiba with a traditional Brazilian dinner at an all you can eat Barbecue Steak House. Their adventure started with the students visiting Brazilian NGO’s and attending to classes related to their field of study at Brazilian Universities. Since the group is composed by MBA students, we got them to visit companies that play an important role in Brazil, such as Volvo and TNT,  that are somehow connected with their area.

To really have a truly Brazilian Experience, there is no better way than going to an official match! The group watched the game in the box seats of the arena and truly experienced a Brazilian soccer match!

Our exchange students also visited a few small historical city in the South, where they visited the port and the container terminal of Paranaguá. Later on, they traveled to another small city called Morretes, on which they ate a traditional barreado and returned to Curitiba through a train ride across of the Amazonian Rainforest.
To complete their journey in our country, the MBA students traveled to Rio de Janeiro to visit some of the most touristic and amazing landscapes and spots of Brazil.

A Faculty-led program is an amazing opportunity to internationalize students and also improve their cultural understanding of the world. We are happy because this exchange program didn’t only give them a period of discovering a new culture, language and country, but also gave them a lifetime of opportunities and new friends.
