In October, the Consulate-general of Japan in Curitiba is organizing several events to celebrate Japanese Culture. There will be several exhibitions and concerts happening all over Curitiba. Anyone who is interested can attend, and the entrances are free!

Musical Concert: Infinity – Japan Impressions

Musicians Reikano Kimura and Sumie Kaneko play tradicional Japanese instruments. Friday, Oct 5th, 8 pm, at Teatro da Reitoria da UFPR (Rua XV de Novembro, 1299 – Centro, Curitiba).

Ikebana Exhibition

Cultural Shows at Rua 24 Horas

1. Taikô （Fuurinkazan – Ponta Grossa)

Japanese drums concert by Taikô Fuurinkazan group, from Ponta Grossa. Saturday, October 6th at 4 pm.

2. Yosakoi and Moti-tsuki (Wakaba – Curitiba)

Japanese Tradicional Dance by Yosakoi Wakaba group, from Curitiba. Afterwards, there will be tasting of Moti-Tsuki, Japanese Prosperity scone. Saturday, October 13rd, at 10:30 am

3. Taikô（Ryukyu-koku Matsuri Daiko – Curitiba)

Japanese drums concert by Ryukyu-koku Matsuri Daiko group, Okinawa style.  Wednesday, Oct 31st at 12:30 am.

Japanese Movies Exhibition

Exhibition of 15 Japanese movies from 1992 to 2011.
