What is DDI?
DDI means International Direct Dialing . It is a code to make direct international calls. Each country has a code that must be added while calling, so that the connection is completed. To make a call outside Brazil the number must follow this order:
00 + operator code + DDI (country code) + destination city code (if any) + phone number
The DDI code in Brazil is 55. That´s the number you should dial if calling Brazil from outside the country.
To make a call to a different country you need to choose an operator, which will be responsible for completing your call and also charge you for it. The choice of this operator will determine the price you will pay for your call, if you choose post-paid connection. If you wish to obtain lower costs, the best option is to connect with prepaid plans, or by purchasing a calling card that will allow you to get lower rates.
