On July 19th, we welcomed Enni Huotari, our new intern from Finland. She is going to intern at our partner LACTEC in the Biology area.
At our arrival orientation she told us a bit about her expectations for the program.
BE: Why did you choose to come to Brazil for an exchange program?
Enni: I wanted to do an internship and wasn’t able to do it in Finland and actually I really wanted to have international experience so I looked for places abroad. I found this place very interesting and since I didn’t have any experience of Brazil I wanted to try.
BE: How do you feel today that you are starting this experience? Can you describe your feelings? What are your expectations for the program?
Enni: I am excited but of course a bit nervous about how things will work in Lactec, am I able to do the tasks there, etc. But I am sure everything will be good and this will be a great experience.
My expectations are that I will have a lot of good experience about working abroad in my field of study and this experience will help me in the future. I also want to really learn about brazilian way of life. To get to know the city and this country.
