Last week we welcomed three interns, Stefania Chirico and Juan Gallaga from Texas Tech and Michael Mejia from George Mason University. Stefania and Juan are interning at Lactec and Michael at our partner IBEG (Instituto de Bioengenharia Erasto Gaertner). They are working in the Mechanical and Bioengineering area.
During our arrival orientation they mentioned that they chose this program because of the opportunity of gaining experience on a work environment and also to develop their abilities as professionals in the area. The three of them are fluent in Spanish, which makes it easier for them to speak and learn Portuguese.
The students arrived with an open mind and already started their activities as interns. We hope their experience here achieve all their expectations!
