This Saturday we took our exchange students to a wine tasting at Durigan, a winery located in Santa Felicidade, a district of Curitiba in the South of Brazil. This commune begun as a colony of Italian immigrants during the 19th century and nowadays it is an area with several Italian restaurants, handmade marketplaces and furniture stores.
Our international students tasted a variety of wines that have been produced since 1873. They also had the opportunity to taste a selection of cheeses, salamis, dry biscuits. Later we all went to a traditional “all you can eat” Italian-Brazilian restaurant which had a variety of steaks and pastas. This is the second time that we engaged them to taste a little bit of Italian-Brazilian culture, you can check photos of the previous meeting here
This meeting was a great get together in a nice sunny day of Brazilian summer. We are looking forward to have more meetings like this 🙂
