Elina is a Finnish master student in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. She is working at “Studio Cidades e Biodiversidade”, a research and application unit of the Federal University of Technology of Paraná state with several diverse projects related to the city planning and application of eco-systems.

Be: Why did you choose to come to Brazil for an exchange program?
To enhance my abilities to work on an international level in environmental sciences and organizational work, to make new connections in Brazil.

International work experience to use for my CV in Finland.
Be: What are your goals with this experience? If we met at the end of your stay, which achievements would you like to tell your friends you had.
Good understanding of Brazilian environmental politics, new connections, new work opportunities in environmental sciences.
Be: How do you feel today that you are starting this experience? Can you describe your feelings?
I’m excited, the culture and people seem very nice and I feel very safe and welcome in Curitiba. The people seem all to be very friendly so I’m looking forward to work in the university.
