Hayley is an American student of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas Tech University. She is looking forward to out against students of the same field by doing an internship in Brazil. The student will be an intern at QualiCode, a Software company based in Curitiba.

We met Hayley to know more about his first impressions about Brazil. Here you can check our interview with her:

Be: Why did you choose to come to Brazil for an exchange program?
It was recommended by my university and was the best option for me.

Be: What is the main reason you choose to go on exchange?

Mostly because it is a requirement for me to graduate. Also because it is a good experience and will help me stand out against students at other colleges who are studying the same field as I am.

Be: What are your goals with this experience? If we met at the end of your stay, which achievements would you like to tell your friends you had.

I would like to be able to speak basic Portuguese. Regarding my degree, I would like to have a better understanding as to how my field operates as well as a understanding of building schematics and working with sensors.

Be: How do you feel today that you are starting this experience? Can you describe your feelings?

I am excited and slightly overwhelmed.
