Last week we welcomed Henriikka Ranta from Finland. She will do her internship with us in Brazilian Experience. She has a degree in International Relations. She is currently studying languages and majoring in Russian language. She is interested in learning more about how to create and to develop cooperation with partners around the world and to discover more about the benefits of cultural exchange.
We asked Henriikka what are her expectations now, when she is starting her internship and why she decided to come to Brazil for an internship. Check it out:
BE:What do you expect for the program?
Henriikka: I expect to learn new skills at my internship and to learn more about Brazilian people and culture while I’m living here, and also maybe to get some new ideas that I can share with people back home.
BE: Why did you choose to come to Brazil?
Henriikka: Brazil was fascinating to me, because it’s a diverse country that is very different from Finland. I also thought that Brazilians are so warm and open people, so I thought that I could have fun here. Also Brazil is a perfect option for me, because I want to learn more Portuguese.
BE: What is the main reason that led you to become an intern?
Henriikka: I wanted to do an internship abroad and this seemed like the perfect program for me, because I already started to study Portuguese, so of course I wanted to come here to develop my language skills. Also this internship seemed like an unique opportunity to experience a lot of new things and see how life is in South America. I thought this could be one of the best ways to experience Brazil.
