In September we also welcomed Noora Salmela from Finland. She is interning in the project of the Federal University of Technology – Paraná (UTFPR) as assistant researcher in the Cities and Biodiversity unit. Noora is hoping to be able to work on her field of Human Geography and during her internship she is taking part on the planning of the bike lanes in Curitiba.

We asked about her expectations in the start of her internship in Brazil. Check it out:

Brazilian Experience: What do you expect for the program?

Noora: I do expect having a good work experience that’s related to my field of studies. I also expect having new ideas, learning from Brazilian culture and meeting new interesting people.

BE: Why did you choose to come to Brazil?

Noora: I’ve been interested to visit South America and was interested in Curitiba as it is well-known of it’s urban planning.

BE: What is the main reason that led you to become a intern?

Noora: I wanted more work experience from my field of study and wanted to travel.
