This experience, with no doubt, has been quite enriching to me. I feel like a “mother” to Isabella all the time. And this is very rewarding.
Isabella gave me beautiful flowers for Mother’s Day. I was so happy and emotionally touched.

To our family it’s been a great experience having exchange students at home, because is a opportunity to know about another culture. They are young people open to new experiences and we are very happy to help them learn the best of our language and culture.
The experiences that we had were quite rewarding, we built good friendships, hanged out a lot and practice our English.
We hope that even more young exchange students come to Brazil, we will be glad to have them with us.

My husband and I had Kiyana living with us, an American that wanted to come to Brazil to learn Portuguese. She was such a sweet girl, very kind and friendly. Kiyana not only conquered our hearts, but our three kittens’ too. After she left they meow at her room. We hope we can go to US soon and visit her, since we built a beautiful friendship. I’m very thankful to Brazilian Experience for introducing me Kiyana, after all this experience brang me memories that I will have with me for the rest of my life and made me a better person. I’ll never forget the moments that we had together… those will be with me as very happy memories!

The first exchange student that we had at home was Fanny (German), after her Thérese (Swedish) came and now we have Fawzi (American) with us. The reason of having them with us is to be able to give them the opportunity of making their dreams come true, learn about themselves and explore the world in an unforgettable way. As for us as a host family, each exchange student taught us about their culture and traditions. All of them were very lovely and we always will miss each of them.
For the families that never experience hosting an exchange student, I can say that this is a person that will be part of your family and will conquer your heart very soon
