Well known for its hospitality, São Miguel is a community that hosts Caiçaras (traditional fishermen) and their traditions as flour mill and canoes from a single trunk. Also, the place is surrounded by the beautiful Atlantic Forest. The community lives essentially the crab fishing, their food and income.
With the support of Paranaguá container terminal, a community-based tourism project began in 2013. The purpose of visiting there is to empower the community, connect with them and share their daily life and activities, while generating a new income source for the families and encouraging them to preserve their rich culture.
