Zé Ramalho is a Brazilian performer and composer known for singing rock, pop, MPB, forró and folk songs. He is a big name here in Brazil and has collaborated with many famous Brazilian singers such as Vanusa, Alceu Valença and Geraldo Azevedo.

When he first began his career he was influenced by the rock-n-roll, the most popular music style when he was young, on the other hand, when he turned 20, his music style became more Northeastern Brazilian. When young, he took part of the Brazilian Jovem Guarda, being influenced by singers such as Roberto and Erasmo Carlos, Renato Barros and  international names such as Bob Dylan, Golden Boys and Pink Floid.

Some of his songs were part of the soundtrack of many Brazilian Telenovelas. Ramalho’s lyrics are inspired by the difficulties that average Brazilians face in a daily life.
